2 out of 5 stars Bad Dogs Have More Fun   February 15, 2008

Was disappointed in this book. What little it had about dogs was good but the title is very misleading. His newspaper columns are without a doubt very entertaining but the book is not about it's title.

1 out of 5 stars There's a reason why people throw away newspapers   January 26, 2008

This is a very listless collection of newspaper columns that completely undermines the talent shown by Grogan in his memoir. Don't waste your money on it. None of the articles are long enough to give a fully rounded picture of their topic, and few tug at your heartstrings. Many are almost embarrassing attempts at humor. "Heavy-handed" is the phrase that comes to mind.

5 out of 5 stars Grogan has a great style!   January 24, 2008
This collection of articles written by John Grogan, of Marley fame, is a great read. While writing for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Grogan had quite a following. This compilation is a great way to follow his career in the Philly area.

4 out of 5 stars Johns articles but not his book   January 21, 2008

This is Johns articles written for a newspaper compiled in a book without his knowledge or endorsement. IF you are looking to read more of Johns works it is a good read. The cover was mislead me into thinking it was a second book written by John. However as other reviewers have stated there was litte to do with dogs, many articles however were thought provoking and great lessons on life.

1 out of 5 stars Book About Dogs? Hardly!! Not Worth The Read.   January 9, 2008
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

The title and cover of the book is deceptive. If you are expecting a good read on dog stories, stories about Marley, you're wasting your time and money. Yes, there is a few good dog stories, but most of the book contains every thing but dog stories.

This book is a major disappointment and a waste of time to read.
