5 out of 5 stars The first Silver Dragons Book (and some Ash, Drake & Jim)   July 8, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Playing with Fire was a great contiuation of the story line from the Green Dragon books. Aisling, Drake, and Jim, plus Gabriel of course. May is another strong heroine, but different enough from Aisling to make her interesting. I read the book in less than three days. As usual, the end left you wanting more, but we won't have to wait long for the next book (October 2008). If you like Katie MacAlister, you'll like this book. If you haven't read her before, start with the Aisling Gray/Green Dragons or you'll be lost (in my opinion), and you'll enjoy this book that much more.

4 out of 5 stars Silver Medal for Silver Dragons   July 6, 2008

It's fun to read and a good sequel to the Guardian Series, but not as innovative as some of her others. I'll be reading the ones to come, but I'll probably borrow them rather than buy them to spare my budget!

5 out of 5 stars Love it - write faster   July 5, 2008

I loved the book - really enjoy the characters and how they are developing but please please please write faster - it's hard to wait so many months between installments to find out what is going on in this world.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   June 30, 2008

I started reading Katie MacAlister by reading here 'Dark Ones'/vampire books. Picked up my first Aisling Grey, Guardian/Green Dragon book because it was by her. Loved it and read the whole set of four. Was SO glad she started a Silver Dragon series by writing Playing With Fire. It's great. You get a new heroine named May Northcott, and you get to keep track of what's happening to the main characters from the Green Dragon series. Can't wait for the next Silver Dragon book, Up In Smoke!

5 out of 5 stars i was sucked in!!!   June 28, 2008

This is the first book ive read by Katie MacAlister, but I'm kooked!
I do recomend that you wait to read it until at least the second of this series is out. These characters are addicting. She does leave you hanging at the end but it will be worth it when the next book is out. Now that i've read this book I am starting to buy all of the books by her that include the characters in this one, such as Drake and Asling's story and, as soon as they come out, all of May's story too.
