The most profound book I have ever read. As the Heart knows, there is and always has been One, and only One Teaching. Nowhere have I seen it more succintly, eloquently and clearly presented than in the pages of this book. If I had a choice of only one book to take with me, alone, to an isolated desert island, it would be THE POWER of NOW. (NOW=WON=ONE). Within the context of verbal language, this is as good as it gets. Words properly used as symbols to point beyond themselves to that which can never be captured in words, i.e. REALITY. This is DIVINE TRANSMISSION in book form. Prepare yourself for radical transformation on the way to the bookstore or as you wait for the mailman's delivery.

This book brings to the forefront how we complicate our existence. Although, not simple to re-train your thinking process between past and future, by starting with babysteps, you will find yourself experiencing life in a totally different way. Not so burdensome, not so complicated and not so painful.

It's difficult to write a review of "The Power Of Now" without imparting a message which I am sure Eckhart Tolle would say himself! BE IN THE NOW! Seemingly - such a simple message, but how many of us can do this? The dissolution of the past and future = infinity. Yes it works! The knowledge contained within this book is way beyond anything I have ever read or exeperienced in my 43 years of existence. I regard this book nothing short of a catylist for perhaps taking human cocsciousnous to a much needed "higher level". What else can I say? I am buying and giving this masterpeice to everyone I know. I sincerely hope that "The Power Of Now" empowers you, - as it did me. If you want to court infinity, - be in the now! It's everything you have been searching for!

I've been looking for this book a long time, down many dead-ends. Usually, "simple" = shallow, and "profound" slides into wordy. The book should be printed highlighted! Every sentence in it is powerful. Direct without being harsh, he makes a lot of our mind-based beliefs look the nonsense they are, and impossible to continue.

Echkart Tolle's book is a living and powerful vehicle that takes the reader gently by the hand into the Now if they but will allow it. Via a question and answer format, he addresses just about every issue, question, and objection that anyone could possible raise on the subject. The power that the Now carries is transmitted in his words and seems to "ring true" in the heart of the reader. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has read about being in the Now and desired it but somehow has not been able to come close to experiencing it. He writes in his introduction that he hopes that his book will act as a catalyst for a "radical inner transformation" in those who are ready for it. Well, there is no question in my mind that it indeed can cause such a transformation. One of the things he said that had a great impact on me was, "The moment you realize you are not present, you are present." So simple. This is a book you will want to keep in reach to renew and refresh yourself with anytime you need it.
