4 out of 5 stars Eat, ..and love   August 10, 2008

The author is quick, colorful, current, highly entertaining, lucid and thorough as she resolves some very big life questions. If you want to see someone make sense of change and move on, read this book.
The best book about love for me isI Love You. Now What?: Falling in Love is a Mystery, Keeping It Isn't

5 out of 5 stars Best book I've read in a long time   August 9, 2008

I'm such a slow reader and I never put this book down. It speaks as though it was written for me...which I'm sure means it'll speak as though it was written for you too! The journey the author goes on can be seen as a metaphor for whatever is going on in the reader's life...and it's inspiring to think of how important things (especially one's search for meaning) can not be put on hold.

5 out of 5 stars I enjoyed the ride!   August 9, 2008

This book was like reading someone's journal--where all of the "self-absorbed" things would be documented. I'm so glad I didn't let other people's bad reviews deter me from reading this because, although I didn't receive any spiritual enlightenment from this book, it was nice to "ride along" with this author as she experienced new people and new places. I found her prose to be witty and I think a lot people have made unfair judgements about her and the personal attacks I read are so ugly, they can't truly come from well-meaning people. The woman shared her travel experience with us and it was what it was. I stayed up late reading it and reflected on some things afterwards, which made it a good book.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Book I Have Ever Read!   August 9, 2008

Hands down this is the best book I have ever read. Elizabeth's witty writing is like nothing I have ever experienced. Even the chapters are divided in a creative way. I really enjoyed walking with her through her pain and happiness. She is honest and can laugh at herself. We all need to learn how to do that! I am dying to read her next one!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent account   August 9, 2008

of Elizabeth's courage in setting off into the sunset after a painful divorce. She learns a great deal about herself, and is very honest in recording it. I really wish this book had been available earlier - it is most inspiring. A deserved bestseller. I've quoted her as an example of what you can gain from travel in my new book: 'Travelling Magically: How to turn your journey into a life-changing experience'.
