I find Mr. Tolle to be brilliant and yet extremely difficult to follow without rereading passages or pages several times. He is extremely cerebral or intellectual in his discussions at times and I understand why Oprah is attempting to assist his with getting his message out as what he has to say definitely has merit. However, I found that SHIFT: 12 Keys to Shift Your Life SHIFT: 12 Keys to Shift Your Life was much more accessible and practical for me to use. It was easier to understand the concepts and gave me incredible tools that I could use in the moment to make a profound difference in my life... and continue to on a daily basis. I don't understand why this book is as prominent as it is and that SHIFT is a sleeper.

It is not just a book on spiritual concepts it is 'A How To Do It Book." If you are on the path of Spirituality, read the books and struggled with 'how' this is an excellent book on how to understand and change your thinking. I learned about the ego in "The Course In Miracles" 30 years ago, but have struggled on how to change my thinking. This books gives step by step instructions. The same for the concepts about the dream, time and how to stay in the moment. I discovered 'the pain body' is the emotions and how to understand when that voice has entered the picture, and How To go beyond and discover the painful emotional thought that has ruled my life since I was a child and affected both my marriages and how I dealt with being a woman. I wish when I was in Overeaters Anonymous someone could have given me the steps on page 247 on how to deal with addictive behavior.
