 Accurate and repeatable April 21, 2008
This unit works just as advertised. I bought one each for two different garages. The installation, setup, and calibration is very easy. I parked my vehicle to clear the automatic door by two inches, and calibrated the unit for that position. Since installation, I've used it 20 plus times, and the red light illuminates within one-half inch of the calibrated position every time. This works whether parking front end first, or backing in. An excellent purchase, and an excellent value.

Purchased this to aid parents at new location. Installation was quick and easy. Parents love it.

I saw this device at a friends house. I bought two, one for my side of the garage and one for my wife's side. They took just an hour to install and they work great.

string a tennis ball, let it hang from ceiling touching your park car's windshield. Next time coming in. If you hit that tennis ball. STOP! and think whow I've just saved $20

I had one for years and it broke due to probably an abrupt shutoff of the power followed by a pick when the power came back. I have bought one replacement unit and it did not work...it was like sometimes it lit the yellow and sometimes the green or the red but not in connection with the distance from the vehicle as it was supposed to do, I have returned it and bought another one (thank God for the Amazon return policies). This one works. Otherwise it does the job very well, and with the back up batteries one doesn't have to worry about blackouts.
