Product Description
On the eve of the introduction of the first Camaro of the twenty-first century, this big book chronicles the rich history of an American muscle-car era icon. Here, accompanied by fabulous photographs of the models that made history, is the full story of Camaro’s forty years. Beginning with Chevrolet's race in the Sixties to capture the emerging youth market, the book follows Chevrolet’s efforts to come up with a car that could out-muscle the Mustang. The Camaro was that car, and in the years after its introduction in 1967, it set some of the most important performance marks in American automotive history. The classics of the muscle-car era are here--the RS, SS, Z/28, and IROC-Z--along with the models that jumpstarted a new era of American performance in the 1980s. In flashing color and fine detail, Camaro Forty Years captures the innovations and fierce competition, the changes in style and technology that make the story of this legendary car a part of the American automotive story--now opening a new chapter.

Really nice! January 3, 2008 It's very beautiful. It was a gift for my brother and he said it was the best Camero book he's ever gotten. Thanks

Best Camaro Book Out There November 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a Christmas book for my son and I am very impressed with the contents. The pictures pop off the page and the data about each car is right on. I know he'll love it.
Speed Freaks Rejoice! October 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Any true automotive junkie will tell you--no matter where their manufacturer bias makes its bed--that the Camero is burnt rubber royalty. This book tells the story of the Camero's four decades of dominance unlike any book that I have ever read. The writing is obviously infused with first-hand knowledge and a love of everything on four tires, and the stunning photography practically jumps off the page. At the end of the day, this book is a kick-a** tribute to the undisputed king of the muscle car world. If you've been blessed--or cursed--with a lead foot and an addiction to speed and power, CAMERO FORTY YEARS is the book for you!
Terrific history of my favorite car September 6, 2007 I've loved Camaros since high school and when this book came out I bought the first copy I saw. I've read other books by the author so I knew it would be an interesting and well-written book, which it is, and the photography is terrific. I've tried to read a couple of other Camaro books. They were interesting with good information, but nothing like this. It's not just a good history; it's a terrific story.
