Product Description
Like the Mustang the Camaro was introduced with a huge range of options enabling buyers to suit their personal preferences. The Camaro quickly established itself as one of the great muscle cars. At this time there was no substitute for cubic inches and after-market performance boosts. As happened to so many cars of this type the fuel crisis of the 1970s brought an end to a golden age. This book is a compilation of contemporary road and comparison tests, model introductions, suspension modifications, special versions, buying used, technical and specification data. Models covered include: 427, Dana 427, SS350, Nickey 427, Z28, SS396, Z29, ZL1, Penske Camaro, Yenko Super Z, Turbo Six.

If you weren't there from 67 through 73...... July 14, 2007 Then this excellent book tells you what journalists, customers, hot rodders, the public...were thinking and saying about Camaro's from 67 through to 73 or so. In addition to the regular type car magazines, there are also articles from magazines like Hot Rod etc., on who was hot rodding the Camaro and how. I found this a very interesting set of articles which took you back to there and then.
As Thomas Blackmon rightly said: "Where can you get oringinal magazine reviews on specific automobiles? This book lets you see your old car as it was seen when new."

Where can you get oringinal magazine reviews on specific automobiles? This book lets you see your old car as it was seen when new.I read a review on another of Mr. Clarke's books here, "Impala & SS Muscle Portfolio" that says it was just a bunch of old magazine reviews. That's right, just as it was meant to be. The reviewer from Brazil went on to say that there was limited information on 6 cylinder models. Who cares? It says, MUSCLE PORTFOLIO . . . that does not include 6 cylinders. This was a great book.
