Product Description
The versatility of the sleek metallic gems of Airstream has captured the imagination of a new generation. Paris Hilton used one to tour the country in The Simple Life. Designer Ralph Lauren owns four. Airstream Living explores these vehicles' many uses, from vacation travel to permanent residence, from home office to pool house, from on-set accommodation for movie stars to businesses such as diners and stores. In its pages, profiles of real-life owners reveal how they use their trailers to enhance their lifestyle, and vacationers will find advice on how to get the most out of Airstreams. Inspirational photographs accompany advice on decorating interiors in styles that range from the simple to opulent: retro chic, Ralph Lauren's Adirondack and Western themes, a seaside look for coastal touring, and much more. Practical advice covers everything from buying your first Airstream to care and cleaning tips to solutions for storage. A directory provides a thorough listing of suppliers and websites. For anyone who owns an Airstream or is thinking about purchasing one, this book is a must-read for living life to the fullest aboard a land yacht.

A nostalgic trip with Airstream trailers March 27, 2008 The creative interior designs that Airstream owners have done over the years are highlighted, from actors, to retirees, to even restaurants. Lots of photos and an interesting read for anyone that loves to RV.
My dream life February 9, 2008 This is a beautiful book that made me want to go out immediately and buy an Airstream and hit the road. What fun!!!! I can hardly wait until that day comes.

Interesting and fun book. Shows how people have redecorated their Airstreams. Highly recommended for the Airstream enthusiast. I picked this up and enjoyed it, and even though I've never personally had the opportunity to actually be inside one of these -it DOES look like fun! In this you get the pleasure of seeing how people have specifically adapted these to fit and reflect their styles and needs. It's a neat book. This would be a nice gift for someone who likes this type of thing, or for someone, who, like me is curious about everything!
Defective merchandise July 29, 2006 3 out of 17 found this review helpful
I ordered this book from Amazon, and it arrived looking like it had been damp at one time. All the pages were wavy, and wouldn't even lie completely flat when the book was closed. I asked for a replacement, thinking it was a fluke, but the second copy was even worse. I returned it as well, and decided to purchase it elsewhere. This was my first disappointing purchase from Amazon, and am still surprised that they offered no apologies or concessions.
Silver still shines March 17, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This publication offers many photos and ideas for Airstream enthusiast. Having purchased other books that are similar, this one offers a lot of modern ideas for those who are restoring. It opens one's imagination to the possibilities of the legendary Airstreams of times past and spans the horizon to the new. I think it would provide information for the novice as well as the seasoned Airstreamer. A job well done.
