Product Description
Oh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gassiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion, the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared the discomforts and humiliations of pregnancy, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy! In the New York Times best-selling Belly Laughs, actress and new mother Jenny McCarthy reveals the naked truth about the tremendous joys, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. From morning sickness and hormonal rage, to hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, Belly Laughs is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant, or, indeed, has ever been born!

A great, truthful look at pregnancy July 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just finished this book after starting it yesterday and I love it. I'm not pregnant yet, my husband and I are planning on starting to try next year, so I'm reading up a bit. I love Jenny's frankness about all topics that women wonder about before going through it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is or will be getting pregnant - a good read for men as well, my husband will definitely be reading it!
Great for new mommies July 21, 2008 I got this book when I was preggo and LOVED every page. Jenny is so funny but puts things into a "real" perspective on pregnancy.
I LOVE her!!! July 16, 2008 Jenny McCarthy is hilarious. This is such a great book to read while pregnant and the perfect diversion from the other scary pregnancy books. It's not only entertaining but it's also a good reference point. Read the rest of her books also, they're just as good!!!
Hilarious & Sooo True! June 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this as a suggestion from my sister during my 4th month of pregnancy. I was in the "easy" part of my pregnancy, so I'll probably read it again in my 9th month so I can appreciate it a little more. Her chapters of various symptoms were absolutely hilarious & blunt. She has a way of describing what our bodies & minds go through in a way that is totally relatable. It may be a bit raunchy for some, but pregnancy isn't always pretty & she says it as it is. Dark nipples, dry heaving, bleeding gums, constipation, it's all in the book & it's all true!!! I've already given this book as part of a shower gift & will continue to do so in the future!
Soo True.. June 24, 2008 I loved this book - its informative AND funny. Great for the mom-to-be who wants to know what to expect in a less "scary" way than "what to expect when your expecting" - I thought that book had all kind of just negative info ( just my opinion).
