I LOVE THIS BOOK! What a great follow up after What's a Ghoul to Do? The MJ books are great (although the Abby Cooper series is also pretty fantastic!)! I love the way you get drawn into the story. At times it felt like I was walking with the characters down hallways and into rooms. There were times I would find myself physically startled when something would happen to MJ. This is a great escapism book. I read to be taken to different places and experience new ideas and surroundings. This book's wonderful to get you out of the daily routine of the day. A great summer read for relaxing and getting away from the ordinary!

Demons... is the second book in Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter Mysteries, and I liked it even better than the first book. At Teeko's (what a great nickname) request, MJ and gang investigate a boarding school haunted by a rampaging violent spirit known as Hatchet Jack. But of course, Ms. Laurie, the master of twists and turns brings us down an entirely different path. Read on to to see where this on takes you!

M.J. Holliday has just been recruited to track down Hachette Jack, the demonic ghost terrorizing the Northelm Boarding School near Lake Placid. Her biggest problem looks to be that she only has five days to rid the despicable hatchet-wielding ghost off the property. But there might be an even bigger problem - Hachette Jack is far more powerful than even she imagined. Can she solve the mystery surrounding the secret of why Hachette Jack is still haunting the property before her time runs out?
I really enjoyed this book. One of my favorite scenes is when M.J. has to convince a skeptical local detective of her medium abilities in the middle of a criminal investigation. I actually laughed out loud at his reaction.
DEMONS ARE A GHOULS BEST FRIEND is a great, fast paced, addicting read. The mystery surrounding Hachette Jack is filled with twists and turns that kept me flipping the pages until the wee hours of the morning. M.J and Co. are a great group of characters and their story is filled with a great dose of humor. The attraction between M.J. and the very yummy Steven, aka Dr. Delicious, will leave readers anxious to read more. Paranormal mystery fans will enjoy ghost hunting along M.J. as she, Gilley and Steven seek out the truth behind the frightening entity that is Hachette Jack.
DEMONS ARE A GHOULS BEST FRIEND is the second book in Ms. Laurie's Ghost Hunter Mystery series. I look forward to reading the next in the series, due out March 2009.

Victoria Laurie's books are fun, light, and easy to read. If you like the Ghost Hunter series, try her Abby Cooper series, which I think is even better.

This was another good story line, with wry comments, some suspese, and good characters. I read her books to relax and take my mind off my day to day stresses. And when I can read a line or paragraph, and laugh out loud, then I am relaxed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
