Product Description God has a master plan for our lives. It may not seem that way, especially when we stumble and fall. But we aren't just accidents of nature that God took pity on. Though it may seem like we're blindly making our way through this world, the truth is that God is behind us all the way.

This was an enjoyable & authentic September 19, 2008 I had long been turned off by prosperity preachers that did not address being a servant, sacrificing all, denying ones self taking up your cross to follow Christ. I had a hard time understanding the promotion of be a Christian and get rich & bless could be justified in light of fact that the first Apostles & many devout Christians in the early church (Judas not included)suffered or were martyrs for spreading the Gospel. In this day & age there are still many (sold out for Jesus) Missionaries in hostile third world countries who left material wealth & great comforts to serve in poor countries. The Prosperity teaching appealed to greed, pride and self-exaltation causing manu to question this self-centered teaching of a life of ease and blessing. this teaching never addressed the meaning of Jesus words to "take up your Cross and follow me". However, Mrs Copelands book was a pleasant, unexpected honest to goodness surprise. It was relevant & centered on God not on what we can get from God but who God is & why he is worthy of all praise.
Wonderful--a must read September 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a must read! Each of the chapters give you action steps to use in your everyday life and Gloria fills the book with interesting and motivational stories about her own experiences. This is definitely a book I will go back to and one I will share with friends and family.
I was expecting more from this poorly edited, just okay book August 7, 2008 The format of this book--"10 Steps"--is currently in vogue for Christian titles -- 5 Steps to this, 8 Lessons to that--as if God speaks so clearly to each of us that it could all be condensed down to such a simple formula.
Gloria has a wonderful and at times funny testimony and some great life stories and life lessons. However, she tends to "preach" a bit too much in this book and many, many pages are devoted to Bible passages to support her statements.
There's nothing "wrong" with the Bible passages but I would have much rather read more of her OWN story, what she learned as God revealed His master plan to her.
And the first few chapters are poorly edited and seem to take forever to "get going." It's like there were really only 5 steps but they padded it out to 10!
Her other books are much more rewarding--try BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE and TO KNOW HIM--because they are more personal. Because she has the arm of a mainstream publisher now, perhaps the book was put too much into a box to allow Gloria's real voice to shine through.
So I give it 3 stars, which to me means it was "just okay."
Excellent read May 26, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is the first book I have read by Gloria Copeland, and now want to read all her books. I have viewed Gloria preach on T.V. for years, but never inquired about books until I heard an advertisment for the book called the master plan for your life. This book as many other readers have said will change your life. It took me a little longer to read since I wanted to make sure I read every single word of what Gloria had to say. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to walk closer with God and discover the master plan he has in store for your life.
Just another superstition May 20, 2008 6 out of 38 found this review helpful
I admit, Ive never read this book. But i assume, and i probably do so correctly, that this books premise is based upon an old superstition. This superstition when thought about and acted upon creates a drug like addiction to those that are enslaved by it... I am just carrying on the theme from another commenter here because i too find these types of books a threat to rational thought and truth in general... This lady and all of her followers should do themselves a favor and admit that they are living in a fairy tale world. There is NO evidence for the existence of any type of god... Hes only in your brain folks..
These books do for intellectual thought what Brittany Spears does for music.... They both degrade the scene...
Do the world a favor by honestly trying to understand reality by how reality actually presents itself. People need to stop creating fairy tales.. I know, I know, god really has worked in your life yadda yadda, perhaps you do need this drug.. But.. try taking some anti depressants and read a real book people...
When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. -- Stephen Henry Roberts
