Editorial Reviews:

Book Description
Today approximately 33 percent of all car sales are leased. Despite this popular consumer trend, many drivers do not understand how leasing works and are unaware of the potential problems that existthe traps and tricks that could prove costly. More than a few uninformed consumers have been burnt.

This book teaches the reader how to recognize and avoid leasing scams, understand leasing jargon, evaluate the pros and cons, compare the cost of leasing to buying a car, and save money by negotiating wisely.

The book contains a quick lease-shopping comparison guide, a decision quiz to help the reader know if he/she is a good candidate to lease, a practice worksheet used by leasing companies to calculate payments, a copy of the new Federal Consumer Leasing Act Disclosure document (two-page form giving the information that leasing companies must legally provide consumers), a full glossary of leasing terminology, and an exhibit showing how much money can be saved by smart negotiating.
