Compared with the 3rd edition the spaceborne part grew from about 300 to 1000 pages. The complete text - including the electronic-only chapters - contains more than 1900 pages. It is a very comprehensive review on technology and sensors exploited in the field. Personally I think it's a bit lacking in the analysis of methodologies used to extract relevant information from sensors' measures.
