Eclipse Special Edition ( The Twilight Saga) July 6, 2008 I enjoyed this book very much. Although like a few other books, there are a couple parts that dragged, the book flowed very smoothly, and created a great mental picture. It kept my attention, and kept me yearning for more, until the very last page. I can't wait for the next book to be out, because although it didn't leave you hanging.... it left you right at the edge, still wanting more. Even if you aren't the type for vampires, I would still recommend this book, I think it has a little bit for all types of readers.
Eclipse (The Twilight Saga, Nook 3) July 6, 2008 Great book! Once you start reading, it's hard to put it down. Can't wait to read book 4!
I ultimately enjoyed this one but.... July 6, 2008 I'm just sick and tired of how weak and inept Bella is. I guess I just don't like her. She's whiney and selfish. And I too just love the Jake character and can't believe she's fallen for the manipulative control freak. I'd rather have a character who stands up for herself and controls her own destiny without having to be the stereotypical 'damsel in distress' who always has to be 'saved' from evil. Get a backbone and save yourself for crying out loud.
Eclipse Special Edition (Twlight Saga) July 5, 2008 Eclipse is the most exciting book out of the Twlight Saga. I've re-read the last 200 pages over and over and still can't get enough! Most romantic love triangle ever!!
A guilty pleasure July 4, 2008 I am too old to be reading these books really. I won't tell you that the writing in these novels is especially challenging to read, or has a ring of poetry or genius. The characters presented in these books are about as three dimensional as most high school students. So why do I like these books? Perhaps it is because Bella reminds me of myself when I was 14 years old. She is so irrationally in love, selfish, and immature, even though she almost always tries to do what she feels is the right thing. The stories are not complex, but they are quick, action packed, and each chapter ends in a cliffhanger of sorts. In addition, the books often had me laughing and/or worrying about the characters.
