Product Description
Bestselling author Ian Stafford has run, boxed, putted, rowed, wrestled and kicked balls with the finest sportsmen in the world. Which is why he finds the doubt about his driving technique particularly galling. After one too many arguments with his wife in the car, Stafford sets out to prove that he really is up there amongst the finest drivers in the world. But after the glamour of Monaco, the freezing temperatures of Schumacher's home town, and the excitement of the first ever London Grand Prix, comes the more realistic view of life behind the wheel. Having seriously damaged his ego in a 4 x 4 in the States and crashing the car on a suburban school run, Stafford begins to wonder whether he hasn't bitten off more than he can chew by pledging to come face to face with Michael Schumacher. A brilliantly funny, sporting adventure around the world with a much-loved writer.

A Great Read..The book won't let you down! January 31, 2008 An excellent book by Ian Stafford where he decides to race head to head with Michael Schumacher after his wife mistakenly asks him "Who do you think you are...Michael Schumacher?"
Every page is filled with humor and wit and you wait for the moment when Ian will actually meet Schumacher and defeat him.
The one downside of the book is that it ends in a sort of anti-climax and wants you leaving for more.
An excellent book and a worthy read. Highly recommended!
Getting to grips with reality! April 7, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
His wife openly challenges his driving abilities and tells him he's no Michael Schumacher. Ha! Yeah, right. No way and he'll prove it.
Ian Stafford sets out on a quest to find Michael Schumacher, go on a head-to-head, beat him and prove he is the better driver; or at least as good as.
In the process, he'll get to travel to such far flung places as New Zealand and Shanghai, he'll get to drive an F1 car, a WRC car, he'll get to race Markko Martin and JP Montoya, train with David Coulthard, fly with Niki Lauda, he'll get to interview countless personalities from the world of motor-sport and he'll record everything in this book.
Not to ruin it for you, I won't say what happens with Michael Schumacher in the end. I will say that the book is hugely enjoyable though.
