Product Description
In 1979, Ford introduced its Fox chassised Mustang, and has since gone on to become one of the most popular Mustangs ever built. Here Matt Stone relates the history of the Mustang 5.0- and 4.6-liter cars from 1979 to 1998, including the first Fox-bodied cars, the birth of the GT, the sleeper LXs, and the wild SVT Cobras. An in-depth text discusses technical aspects, design evolution, company history, racing, and important designers, engineers, and racers associated with this popular series.

A great book for people new to the Mustang hobby. April 9, 1999 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
An excellent source of info for people who are new to the Mustang hobby. The photographs are are well done. However, I have been driving Mustangs for 10 years now. I found that the information was a bit too generalized for my needs. I did not find the information useful. I easily got bored of this book after just the second day. Still, I would recommend it to people who are interested in buying a late model Mustang but are not sure which year they want. This book will help them to find the car that best suits their needs, budget, and personality.
Comprehensive look at late model Mustangs June 30, 1998 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book offers any reader a thorough overview of recent Mustang history. It offers a lot of detail without getting bogged down in numbers and specifications. The writing is concise and the photography is well done. This book does a fantastic job of educating the uninformed as well as thrilling any previous or current Mustang owner.
