Product Description As he is driving home from a minister's conference, Baptist minister Don Piper collides with a semi-truck that crosses into his lane. He is pronounced dead at the scene. For the next 90 minutes, Piper experiences heaven where he is greeted by those who had influenced him spiritually. He hears beautiful music and feels true peace. Back on earth, a passing minister who had also been at the conference is led to pray for Don even though he knows the man is dead. Piper miraculously comes back to life and the bliss of heaven is replaced by a long and painful recovery. For years Piper kept his heavenly experience to himself. Finally, however, friends and family convinced him to share his remarkable story.

Boring!! July 27, 2008 I very much enjoy reading books concerning the "other side" and metaphysical studies. This book however completely turned me off. I understand the author is a preacher but there was entirely too much of a "sermon" undertone to the book. His description of heaven is like a description of Sunday church...just a bunch of people singing praise to God all day. I find it hard to believe we have such a conceited God that our only purpose in the afterlife would be to worship Him all day long. His description of heaven is too vague and repetitive. It reminded me of writing a school report that had to be a certain number of pages...you just keep rephrasing the same thing to fill up space. This is exactly what the book is...filler. I forced myself to read through the end of his description of heaven and immediately put the book down and have not looked at it since. Mr. Piper is not only a poor writer whose sentences are elementary and trite but he is also a poor Christian who is trying to mislead readers into purchasing his book for his own financial gain.
I hope he's right. July 26, 2008 The Dummy I too read '90 Minutes in Heaven' cover-to-cover and I am hardly religious. While some of the description of heaven almost sounds traditional (music, gates, gold streets) the good feeling I received from this book triumphs those. The idea of seeing my friends who passed on too young and too long ago brought all of their memories back in a flash. Do I believe? I want to, but I do know that we all will have that answered and maybe sooner than we think. I do wish Don had spent more pages describing heaven, but the lead up to and the aftermath of his accident is also relevant to the story. Miracle or not, most of us want more knowledge not only of the physical that surrounds us but also that which we can't see until we get there.
Everyone needs to listen to this Audio & pass it around July 25, 2008 I lost my husband in a car accident in March 2006. This audio gives me more strength & knowledge knowing that my husband, soul mate & best friend IS in HEAVEN !!
This is my 2nd order for this audio & I have it being sent to a friend in MS. that took care of her mother & lost her recently. This audio really helps put your life in perspective when you are feeling really lost & don't know what to do or how to feel. I would love to be able to meet Don Piper. His other audio called "Heaven is Real" is a must listen also !! I am getting ready to listen to them both again & have our granddaughter listen to them so she has a better understanding of her grandpa being in Heaven. Thank you Don Piper for creating these audios for us t listen to !! I have been recommended these to alot of people & thanks to our daughter Amber who is reading the book & told me about this !!
OBVIOUSLY FACT July 22, 2008 A severely injured man hallucinates that he went to heaven and chilled out up there for an hour and a half. This is obviously 100% true because it is compelling to people who believe in that and don't want to believe that it was a hallucination caused by intense stress. If you fell for this then you probably watch a lot of sitcoms.
God always has a plan July 20, 2008 Loved the book. Arrived in the afternoon. I knew as soon as I opened it, I would read it all right then. God always has a plan, maybe not yours or mine but his. I flew through the words and the message. It's not an easy read as far as what this precious man had to physically go through but his message is so clear. We all have a purpose in this world. Blessings!
