A Nice Change May 12, 2008 This was a nice departure from the usual Aisling/Drake dragon drama. I really like Gabriel's character and enjoyed reading about him for a change. I'm not sure how I feel about May, but it took me until the second Aisling book to like her, so I have a feeling I'll warm up to her eventually. The new direction for MacAlister in this series is a good idea, and I can't wait to read the next one.
Read it at B&N !!!! May 9, 2008 1 out of 11 found this review helpful
Well, first off I don't give 5 star reviews to books. These are romance books not classics! They are to read for "Fun". I have read Katie's other books. I have liked them, but, not loved them. This new series is just okay. God forbid I should mess with any author though. So, please read it if you want to. I am glad I did not buy this book. I get most of my books from my favorite place!! The LIBRARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In my humble opinion, it is the best place to get a book. No money down the drain if someone gives a book 5 stars and it is a DUD!!
fire me up May 9, 2008 i wasn't sure i was going to buy this holy smokes wasn't on par with the other books from her series now i am so glad i did. gabriel who we got to know in aisling's series in books 2-4 finally gets a mate. because of a curse from a black dragon a mate could not be born for a silver dragon but through a twist he got one in May. it was funny and definetly worth the read as the book leaves you hanging i can't wait for the next installment happy reading.
Best of the series!!!! May 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We were introduced to her dragon series with the Green sept - now in this continuation of the series we meet the Silver sept and their wyvern Gabriel Tauhou. May Northcott is the heroine, but not your typical heroine --- she's a doppelganger (moves in shadows)thief who was bound to the demon lord Magoth when she was created.
Do not want to say more for it was said already. This is the best of the series to date. This book grabbed me from the first chapter. Gabriel is the opposite of what Drake is. We meet a more laid back easygoing wyvern than from the previous books. We meet all the characters from the previous books that we love. There are moments in this book that will have you LOL at the slapstick antics that reminded me of the keystone cops.
Gabriel is the kind of hero that is totally hot in that he let May handle some things her way while showing his support in her judgement. To me the drawback to this book is that I must wait till fall to buy the next book.
5 stars excellent addition to this series. GOOD JOB katie
