Only book I could find covering Project Sever (EPM) June 4, 2007 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Over the years Marmel has always delivered a solid product on Microsoft Project. As far as I know, it is the only book on the market right now that has anything related to Project Server. Pretty amazing when you figure Project Server has been out for about 5 months. I see the QUE book on MS Project just came out, and I could be wrong but I didn't see any mention of Project Server in the table of contents. Seems everyone either missed the boat or is pretty late to market on this topic. As I see it, MS Project hasn't changed that much in 10 years so buying a book that doesn't address the enterprise doesn't make a lot of sense unless you are new to Microsoft Project. Great book!
Detailed and thorough May 31, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this book mainly for new features in 2007 MS Project. The book is very detailed and serves well for experts and beginners alike. I am quite happy with my purchase. I still have to explore the software provided on the attached CD. One thing it did not come with is 2007 MS project trial software.
Last thought: I wish these came like audio books with flash presentation. They can be in the $200 price range
Project 2007 overview May 18, 2007 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
A valuable resource for novice and advanced users. Sufficiently organized to allow one to navigate directly to a specific topic and glean concise information. Screen shots and detailed explanation are also helpful.
Just a Feature Overview May 5, 2007 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
Not a very useful book - wether for beginners rather than for professionals worked with former versions. If I want to have a feature List I will go to the Microsoft Homepage. If you want to now something like "how to..." you have to try it for yourself - in this book you will not find any description. Wasted money!!!
