Product Description
In this beautifully illustrated history of Ford's tractors, author and photographer Randy Leffingwell celebrates the Ford family of tractors from their development to modern day. Research and photography, courtesy of the Henry Ford Museum Archives, brings Ford tractors and their creators to life. With archival black-and-white photography, and stunning full-color restorations, Leffingwell tells the story of the legendary Fordson, the Model T conversion tractors, European models, and the making of the beloved Ford-Ferguson Model 9N. Ford Farm Tractors is a book that belongs in the collection of any fan of these beautiful machines.

5 out of 5 stars Harold Ypma   November 8, 2007

I was searching on Amazon one day for books and put my Dad's name into the search field. To my surprise, four books popped up written by Randy Leffingwell with mention of my Dad in them. My Dad passed away in 2005 after a very courageous battle with cancer. I purchased these books immediately so that I could read what he had written about my Dad. Anyone that had the opportunity to have met my Dad always had a lasting impression of him. So, thank you Randy for remembering a wonderful & knowledgeable man.

3 out of 5 stars Ford tractors early to 60's   September 25, 2006

Most of the info in the book is for the early years to the early 60's, very little info for later models.
Early years is covered very well and informs on the design and process of getting the tractors to the customers.

4 out of 5 stars A first-rate tour of Ford tractor history and evolution.   February 10, 1999

Lavishly embellished with archive photos and drawings, Ford Farm Tractors gives the Ford enthusiast copius information about the design and development of the Ford tractor line. From Ford's early attempts at traction power to the latest New Holland offerings, the author provides enough details to satisfy most information-hungry Ford lovers. Full-color photographs of collector tractors, working tractors and implements provide ample details for restorers and hobbyists alike. There are some minor editing details, such as a few mis-captioned pictures and the inclusion of several previously published photos that detract from this otherwise beautiful, useful and welcome addition to the tractor-enthusiast's library or coffee table.
