Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
"After only one week on the North Slop of Alaska, Senator Chance had said to me, "Almost everything said to me [about the energy crisis] by those briefers from Washington, D. C. was a lie,'"

"[After proving the find at Gull Island an ARCO executive] went on to say, 'Chaplain, America has just become energy independent!'...The energy crisis had just come to a screeching halt-this ought to hit the front page of every newspaper in America...but before an announcement was made the government forced them to cap it and seal the records which documented the find...WHY!?"

5 out of 5 stars Flagging this for update and questions to Sarah Palin   October 3, 2008
With a tip of the hat to a commenter on my review of Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil. I have asked for the book to be reprinted and offered immediately, and believe that with or without the reprint, those who are in a position to ask questions of Sarah Palin should make this book the focus: what has she known about why, and what are the possibilities?

Incidentally, taking this book at face value, it helps explain McCain's genius in picking Palin, so as to roll out the "October surprise," "solving" the energy crisis.

I look forward to buying and reading the updated book.

Here are other books that I have read and reviewed that add to the betrayal of the public trust theme:
Sleeping with the Devil: How Washington Sold Our Soul for Saudi Crude
Resource Wars: The New Landscape of Global Conflict With a New Introduction by the Author
Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America's Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum
Twilight in the Desert: The Coming Saudi Oil Shock and the World Economy
Web of Deceit: The History of Western Complicity in Iraq, from Churchill to Kennedy to George W. Bush
The Coming Economic Collapse: How You Can Thrive When Oil Costs $200 a Barrel
The Long Emergency: Surviving the End of Oil, Climate Change, and Other Converging Catastrophes of the Twenty-First Century

The good news is that the public is aroused now, and realizing we have all been cheated by the combination of Wall Street and the corrupt bi-opoly.
The Tao of Democracy: Using Co-Intelligence to Create a World That Works for All
Society's Breakthrough!: Releasing Essential Wisdom and Virtue in All the People

5 out of 5 stars What A Story !   September 15, 2008

While I can do without the references to religion, Lindsey at least makes his point in a clear manner that I find difficult to dismiss out of hand. That we have some 200 (or maybe more) years of oil and NG, is staggering. I very well remember in the early 1970's when gas, white gas even, was incredibly cheap (compared to today's prices) and a fill-up was only a few dollars. Now, it's a few hours or a day's wages.

What really struck me, is that we're pumping a billion cubic feet of natural gas back into the ground every day. That natural gas could have been used for electric generators, and more.

5 out of 5 stars Great book, and the videos are spot on.   August 22, 2008

My work mate lent me this book a few months ago and I started looking around for a copy. Folks, this baby is hard to find [for under $150].

As of this posting, there are 243 copies of this exact revised-edition paperback book available from the central supplier of Mr. Williams. This book is rare, but I can't believe this book is selling for $1499.99. Information must be avaiable and this price jacking is not right when the book is actually avaiable.

Folks, Call 1-800-321-2900 option 2. You may have to try calling back a few times, its a very small shop.

4 out of 5 stars Honest and Sincere   July 6, 2008

I've noticed that some reviews have indicated that Mr. Williams is just trying to make money off his book. Well explain then why his book is nearly impossible to find. There are only a handful of copies for sale, look around. They haven't reprinted since the original! So how is he making money from the books again?

He does have problems explaining himself at times, and it makes it seem like what he is saying is untrue. But a little research will clarify any questions that his book presents. And isn't that the point of reading something like this? To make you think and ask questions.

5 out of 5 stars Some facts are hard argue with   June 22, 2008

There is great information presented here, but as evidenced by the wide range of opinions and ratings, people believe what they want and reject what doesn't agree with their world view, as manipulated by the zeitgeist that fortunately for now at least, includes Amazon.com. So believe this:

In 1999, before we elected our first MBA President, an OIL man, to be the leader of the "free" world, oil was at $10 a barrel. Now it's pushing $140 a barrel, the world is less free, and Exxon is making record profits while getting massive federal subsidies. For some reason I don't understand, this may be a good thing?

We're just one more Middle-Eastern invasion away from $200 a barrel oil, that should happen later this year. So believe what you want, vote for more war, pay your sub-prime mortgage, bend over at the gas pump and watch a little more TV before you vote. Talk about getting HOSED!

Read this book before you dismiss it--Or watch the reverend on YouTube while you still can, since this book is obviously going away.
