Product Description
From forging plows to modern day, this is a unique behind-the-scenes look inside the John Deere Factory. Beemer and Peterson discuss factory technology focusing on construction techniques and how they have changed over the years. The inside story will also be told, including how the company got started and where it is headed in the future. Vintage and contemporary photographs show scenes from inside the factory, assembly lines, and design rooms. A fascinating portrait of the Foundry, Engine Works, and Tractor Assembly plants located in Waterloo, Iowa, as well as the world headquarters building in Moline, Illinois. Fascinating!

Review by a member of the John Deere family. January 4, 2000 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
Have recently purchased a new John Deere tractor and have found the tractor to be an outstanding piece of equipment. Was very curious on how the tractor was made. The book is a must read for anyone who owns a John Deere tractor or is intending to purchase one. The questions that I had were all answered. The book is well done and a very good interesting read.
