| Editorial Reviews:
Book Description This book covers all aspects of airline design, tracing significant trends since 1945. The comprehensive pictorial overview takes the reader on a tour of everything from airport architecture and decor to airplane design, construction, and brand identity. The "journey" continues with the many layers of clever and coordinated product design on boardincluding the cabin and tableware - all contributing to the overall design experience. Finally, the editors include a section on airline collectibles, such as hold-all's, model airplanes and umbrellas, which reinforce and extend the airline's image.

Someone needs to proof read! January 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although the pictures are excellent, there are MANY errors made when it comes to the captions. Anyone with any airline knowledge will soon enough notice the errors with regards to the aircraft types noted, airlines noted, and in general unacceptable errors. I was going to call the publisher in Manhattan (close to where I live), but never got around to it. For lack of better example, the book is the size of a hotel Bible ( or Book of Mormon for us Marriott fans), although thicker. Captions are multi-lingual. I probably would not buy it again. Also...for anyone that is into old airline/aircraft photos like myself, you have seen about 60% of the photos before.
Airline interiors from cabin to tableware March 12, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
AIRLINE DESIGN includes lovely color photos by Jacek Slaski, photo editor and gallery owner in Berlin, as it covers airline design trends using a pictorial approach to all aspects of design, from cabin to tableware.
