The rolling Midwest countryside is dotted with small junkyards heaped with curious, rusting hulks that have been long forgotten. This book is a fascinating and fun photographic journey through the final resting places of once glorious automobiles and trucks. Roam through these outdoor museums in the new edition of this book.

These "diamonds" are a man's best friendNovember 2, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Diamonds in the rough is a saying that brings about an image to most, of a long forgotten piece of machinery that is in need of some hard work and refining to get that sparkly gem of a car, truck, or bike back to the shape of someone's pride and joy, just as a real diamond starts off an ugly raw weathered piece of earth. I absolutely loved flipping through the pages and seeing these poor forgotten relics. It is sad that these cars were parked and forgotten, but their true BEAUTY in Pat Kytola's photography lives on forever! Highly recommend to any other sentimental day-dreaming car nut like myself.
