Hot Rod Kings September 24, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Hot rodders will enjoy seeing some faces to put with names and seeing their shops/cars. Some film is wasted on wall art etc that could have been used for detail shots of craftsmanship these builders produce. Some of the narrative has a little too much "hip jargon" that detracts from the subject. The writer needed a few more notes for his captions. The Cadillac on page 69 is about a '50 not a '56, and the one on page 136 is about a '54 not a '57. The bottom photo on page 121 was taken on Highway 108 in Sonora, not Highway 49. Yes, these are small errors but careful work and review would have eliminated them.
The book is good and I recommend buying it. It could have been better.
