Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
"The humor is a wickedly authentic blend of young-professional-bachelor shtick and pets-from-hell high jinks. . . . And, perhaps best of all, the strip keeps getting better." --Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Get Fuzzy was named Best Comic Strip of the Year in 2002 by the National Cartoonists Society.

Satchel, the Shar-pei-Lab mix in the Get Fuzzy family who actually believes what TV commercials say, and his owner-housemate Rob Wilco, a single, somewhat befuddled, Red Sox-best-sellers obsessed ad exec, endure the scourge of their daily existence, Bucky Katt. Whether baiting the ferret down the hall for battle, gorging on rubber bands (and the ensuing gastric consequences), or joining the gun repair club, Bucky continuously tests the patience and endurance of his hapless mates.

Three Get Fuzzy books, Bucky Katt's Big Book of Fun, Blueprint for Disaster, and Say Cheesy, have been New York Times best-sellers.

5 out of 5 stars A Get Fuzzy Reading Guide - Collections vs. Treasuries   July 3, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I won't go into how fantastic this comic strip is, but it is easily my favorite comic strip of all time. :)

For the uninitiated, there are eight collections so far and three treasuries. The fourth treasury is not yet released.

Please keep in mind that each treasury is two collections put together, so as far as I know the treasuries are the same as two of the collections, except I believe the treasuries have the Sunday comics in color while the collections have them in black and white.

In chronological order, the collections are:

1. The Dog is Not a Toy: House Rule #4
2. Fuzzy Logic: Get Fuzzy 2
3. The Get Fuzzy Experience
4. Blueprint for Disaster
5. Say Cheesy: A Get Fuzzy Collection 5
6. Scrum Bums
7. I'm Ready for My Movie Contract: A Get Fuzzy Collection
8. Take Our Cat, Please: A Get Fuzzy Collection

The treasuries are:

1. Groovitude (encompassing collections 1 and 2).
2. Bucky Katt's Big Book of Fun (encompassing collections 3 and 4).
3. Loserpalooza (encompassing collections 5 and 6).
4. The Potpourrific Great Big Grab Bag of Get Fuzzy (encompassing collections 7 and 8). (not yet released - release date is currently 9/1/08)

I can say that these comics are beyond hilarious, and I would highly recommend them to pet lovers/haters of all ages. :)

5 out of 5 stars Darby Conley Rocks!   June 18, 2008

I have been a "Get Fuzzy" fan for years and have all of the books. Darby Conley's humor has a bizarre twisted view that is right up my alley!

5 out of 5 stars DRUMROLL for the Master   June 6, 2008
2 out of 3 found this review helpful

Jazz virtuoso that he is, Darby Conley has everybody change places in this 6th or 7th collection. If you want to laugh out loud, these are your characters. Conley's drawing is so comically detailed that the words are hardly necessary. He also provides astounding breaks from the action. BUY THIS BOOK, PLEASE! Darby Conley needs a new Hummer!

3 out of 5 stars Not the best, but a solid offering   May 14, 2008

So far, I own every Get Fuzzy collection out there. In my opinion, Scrum Bums was by far the best of the pack, but Take Our Cat, Please is a solid follow up to I'm Ready for My Movie Contract. Its a great collection of strips that showcases the wit of Darby Conley that keeps us all coming back for more. There are a couple of priceless laugh out loud strips that I'll leave you to find on your own, but this collection is definitely worth your coin and will no doubt provide an hour or two of amusement.
