Babe's House -- some great pictures November 3, 2008 The best part of this book is the photos. I'm the one in my family who usually gives these types of books as gifts, mainly to my dad or brother who used to take me to games when I was a kid -- but my hobby is photography and my girlfriend saw this book and bought it for me, and it really made for a great gift. The title includes "scrapbook" and "a lifetime of memories" and that is pretty accurate. Even though many of these moments took place well before I was born, seeing the photos brought them alive and took me back to the times when I was sitting at the stadium with my dad or brother and they would tell me about all the great moments in Yankees history. I highly recommend this book -- but if you want another great book that is much more unique and really captures the essence of Yankees history from the very beginning, the one I've been reading this past week is an absolute must for NYY fans: New York Yankees: An Interactive Guide to the World of Sports (Sports by the Numbers)
Yankee Scrapbook Review October 24, 2008 This book is a "must have" for any true Yankee Fan who grew up with the Yankees in their blood & soul! I had purchased this for my dad as a gift and am thinking of getting one for myself!

I became a Yankee fan before I was old enough to understand the game. I loved the Scooter first. Then Yogi and all the great players I had the privelege of watching over the years. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and the family was not too happy about having a Yankee fan in the house. I took a lot of heat from friends too. I even turned my baby brother into a Yankee fan. My Mother took us to games every year and we never missed the Old Timer's Day celebrations. Perhaps she was a Yankee fan too. My brother and I spent many summer afternoons at the stadium. Oh how we loved double headers. Even today, every time I enter Yankee Stadium I am overwhelmed by a presence, a feeling of awe that is impossible to describe. I am going to miss that. The photographs and the history in this book are great and even greater are the memories they bring back. Yankee fans should own it.
