Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The popular Fast and Fun Way language learning series, previously available as book-and-cassette programs and in paperback book-only versions, can now be purchased to teach Italian and three other languages as a combination book and audio CD package. This program, designed for both travelers and students, instructs in the basics of speaking, understanding, and reading and writing Italian. Suitable both for adults and older children, the program includes language games and puzzles, cartoon illustrations, vocabulary flash cards, and other features that help make language-learning fun. The four compact discs present dramatized bilingual conversations and introduce students of Italian to correct pronunciation and listening comprehension.

5 out of 5 stars Great book   October 5, 2008
This book is really basic and easy to study. I wish I had purchased this before going to Italy vs.the vocabulary books.
Pronunciation is stressed!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent book   September 29, 2008
This is really a delightful book. It makes the studying of a language quite painless fun. I enjoyed the little puzzles and games sprinkled throughout.

5 out of 5 stars very good resource, easy to use, highly recommend...   July 14, 2008
We've used a different CD based system for French & this book/CD set "Learn Italian the Fast and Fun Way by Marcel Danesi & Barron's is FAR BETTER. It's simple to follow. I think the CD only systems are too difficult to follow & you need something in print that follows audio. This book is the coursework for a Italian class we're taking by a native of Italy & she said it's 99% correct.

4 out of 5 stars Learn Italian the Fast and Fun Way   June 18, 2008
Very easy to follow with exercises that are fun and entertaining. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn the conversational language.

2 out of 5 stars parts missing   May 1, 2008
Just gotten the book. On page 5 their is a short test. Using the words given on the left their is space on the right to write in the word in English. That is great if I knew Italian, the word valige is no where to be found in the book.
