Good fully encompassing reference book June 24, 2008 Very good, all-encompassing reference book. Covers many topics. Not many specific equations but moreso general procedures.
Many subjects without much detail. June 13, 2008 One of my interests when I bought this book was about SAE oil viscosity. There is a subject about this, but I expected for a graphic showing viscosity vs temperature with many oils and more technical details not just concepts and explanation about used terms. I expected something like ESDU papers.
A 'must have' for anyone in automotive engineering and design April 13, 2008 Along with your other 'handbooks' this one is key because it has the technical data that your Machinery's Handbook does not. It is oriented to the automotive industry, and is small enough to fit in a briefcase when you travel. I would just love to see this book in a PDF version that fits on my PC so I could carry it with me everywhere! If you are graduating from school, going into automotive, just get a copy and study it!
A great reference book, a must have April 6, 2008 For anyone in the automotive industry or any engineering related field this book covers many topics that is a great reference for topics from electrical to mechanical.
Great book! March 19, 2008 A definite bible of car technology. Does not go very deep on every item, but it covers them all, including a solid theory. Great buy for knowledge hungry enthousiast and troubleshooters.
