Product Description A sumptuous and colorful anthology of artist and accomplished designer Lulu de Kwiatkowskis strikingly original handmade collages. Vivid and dreamlike, and sometimes autobiographical, her artwork draws heavily from her own 1970s childhood experiences and her travels to exotic locales.

STUNNING! June 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Stunning artwork, but more than simply a 'design book', this is an absolutely beautiful visual story. A journal by way of collage (what an utterly appropriate medium to tell a story of a person's life), this is a giant dreamy book; it is so easy to get lost for hours in the pages, the colours and patterns are hyptonising and tremendously inspiring. Definitely without a doubt worth the price for the super high quality production if the allure of the contents aren't already enough. AMAZING! I wish I could give this to every woman and little girl I know. My favourite book. I want to frame every page.
Clearly a labour of love. May 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is truly breathtaking. It is not only inspirational, but a curious and honest - if not mildly voyeristic journey into the mind of an artist. The collages are like scuba diving and getting that glimps into someone elses world. Some of the collages are reminicent of St. Peppers - but much much more beautiful and feminine. I'm very tempted to buy another one to cut up and frame a bunch of the of the images for my walls!
divine inspiration...hands down one of the best design books i've seen May 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
if frida kahlo and peter beard had a love child it would be lulu dk! bold, colorful, romantic...her book is such an inspiration. it made me want to get lost in some beautiful far flung place...india, morocco, tanzania... the collages combine her art, journals, family photographs, etc...they are incredibly unique, vivid and personal. i love her images because they aren't about a finished thought...they are free and open to intrepretation and lay the groundwork for your own personal inspiration. and on a superficial note...it has one of the best darn covers i've seen in a long time...it's going to look so smart on countless cocktail tables!
Beautiful Book, Beautiful Art May 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just purchased this book and am in love...the pages are filled with dream like collages and hand written notes from the author/artist. If the book wasn't so beautiful, I would cover my walls with the pages.
Lulu is Fantastic May 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a very special book. It is fantastic. A new expression of art combined with personal notes. It is a great example of good heirloom publication.
