Tired Simplifications and Dirt-Dishing January 12, 2008 "Overnight Success" will not provide readers useful ideas on how to create a very large corporation from scratch, nor how to innovate and maintain success after the initial start-up.
Read something else.

if you're looking for an insightful business-case history of the start of Fedex. Fred Smith and Fedex gave no assistance to Trimble, and the lack of those valuable sources show throughout the book.I inferred that this refusal of help was because of the extensive support of "Absolutely Positively Overnight!: The Story of Federal Express" by Sigafoos, and the controversial result. Bottom line: If you're interested in learning about Fedex from inception to the early 80's, I'd go for Sigafoos book (though right now it's ~$100) and ignore this one completely.
