Product Description The iPod Compatible 3.5mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable allows you to play music from your iPod through your home or car stereo, computer, or notebook. The dock connector sends line level audio out from your iPod, providing better sound quality then when using the headphone jack. The dock connector also allows you to control the volume of your iPod through your stereo or computer instead of having to adjust the volume on the iPod. The lightweight construction makes it easy to take it anywhere you go. Works with iPod Nano 1st Generation, iPod Nano 2nd Generation (aluminum), iPod with color display, iPod with video, iPod Nano 3rd Generation (aluminum), iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPod with click wheel, iPod 10GB, 15GB, 20GB, and iPod mini.

sturdy September 21, 2008 In the past, I've had problems with this kind of a car radio/iPod connection because the wires were too thin and flimsy and wore out quickly. This product has a thick wire that will probably last as long as the iPod (or the car).
Get better sound quality and use your vehicle's controls to adjust the volume August 28, 2008 If you have an iPod and want to listen to it while you are driving, you owe it to yourself to get this cable! Prior to using this cable I have used the FM transmitter (fun if you like changing channels and enjoy dealing with bleed thru) as well as using the cable that inserts into the headphone jack of the iPod. While that cable is an improvement over the FM transmitter, it is a bit noisy and the volume controls must be properly adjusted in order to avoid introducing distortion (set the iPod volume at ~3/4 strength then adjust the volume on the car stereo). How does this dock connector cable compare to the headphone out cable? Smokes it!!! Zero noise and all your volume is controlled through your stereo system. Just plug it in and use your controls, including mute, as usual. BTW, you can use it on your home stereo system as well!
iPod Dock Connector August 5, 2008 This is so convenient and easy to use! Just plug it into your AUX outlet and you are good to go. The songs sounds just as good as the ear buds - MUCH better then FM transmitter!
The picture may be misleading August 2, 2008 Amazon is offering this product from multiple retailers and I got mine from ANTOnline because it was cheaper. However, the cable I got did not have a gold plated connector like in the picture. Perhaps this explains the price difference, but I do not know if the Amazon one has a gold plated connector or not. Other than that it is a good quality cable from Cables To Go. Works great in my car.
Fit the Prius Perfectly July 18, 2008 The cable was inexpensive and works perfectly connecting the iPod to the AUX connector on the Prius.
