Product Description #1 New York Times bestseller Nicholas Sparks turns his unrivaled talents to a new tale about love found and lost, and the choices we hope we'll never have to make.
Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life - boating, swimming , and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies -- he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, THE CHOICE ultimately confronts us with the most heartwrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

Just What I Was Looking For August 28, 2008 I have all of Nicholas Sparks books and I was pleased to find this one. I understand that he has another book coming out in Sept. and you can be sure that I will be getting that one too. The book was in mint condition and will fit right in with my collection. Shipping was fast and I am very pleased with my purchase.
Wonderful! Sparks does it again! August 25, 2008 I read this whole book yesterday! I couldn't put it down, it was that good!
Travis and Gabby are fated with a life-altering decision, but only he has the power to make the ultimate choice between a life with or without love.
This book was so wonderful, and my stomach was in knots over the choice that Travis had to make. It was so sad and so sweet and so hard to figure out what he would do, and I felt so much of the emotion that Travis was feeling. Nicholas Sparks did such a superb job of making the story come alive with love, and I really felt like I connected with the characters.
The ending was not as tidy as I would have liked. I think it could have been stronger, but it was still a wonderful ending. I guess it was realistic the way Sparks wrote it. It was still so good! I hope they make this book into a movie, too!!
He does it again! July 31, 2008 Nicholas Sparks does it again! Another beautiful story! Total page turner! As a busy mother of 4 I surprized myself by finishing it in 2 days! If you like The notebook, nights in rodanthe, a bend in the road or any other Nicholas Sparks books, you'll LOVE this one!
The Choice July 30, 2008 I don't have a lot of time to read and spend my time traveling to and from places in which I get to listen to books.
I watched The Notebook and then started to explore Sparks other stuff. I am not an expert reader or reviewer but my two cents.....I thought it was good and talked about the book everytime I got out of the car.
Would I advise you to read it? If you like Nicholas Sparks previous books then yes. If you like non mushy books then no.
Not Sparks' best but still a good read July 26, 2008 With all the reviews giving the details of the book, I am going to stick to my thoughts. I have read all of Nicholas Sparks' books, I am one of the readers that can't wait for the next one to come out. I love his books. This is an average one, I would give it 3 1/2 starts but I seem to only be able to choose 3 or 4. I agree with another reivewer who stated that I would have enjoyed a little more elaboration on the story near the end of the book, it almost felt a bit cut off in the end, when I thought the story line could have been developed more. Still a good read, and for anyone who likes Nicholas Sparks, still an enjoyable addition to your collection.
