Product Description To NASCAR fans, the most heroic men on the planet drive hundreds of miles in a circle, stop for oil changes during work, and celebrate by dousing themselves with the sports drink of their choice (or their sponsors choice). Now, the most hilarious witticisms from some of the most recklessand belovedathletes on the planet are collected in one volume. Including: Our fans would never waste good beer by pouring it on us. (Jeff Gordon, on the difference between NASCAR fans and NBA fans) I was too lazy to work and too chicken to steal. (Kyle Petty, on why he took up racing) You know why NASCAR fans give Jeff Gordon a hard time? Because Jeff Gordon is the only driver who enunciates. (Jeff Foxworthy) And more! With great illustrations and never-before-seen quotes from some of NASCARs most charismatic drivers and entertainers, HAUL A** AND TURN LEFT will be to NASCAR what Chicken Soup for the Soul is to chicken.

The Wit and Wisdom of NASCAR February 21, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Funny book filled with true anecdotes of NASCAR drivers, owners, etc. An easy read. Wish it had MORE stories. Maybe a second volume with the newer drivers/teams will be forthcoming.
Not worth the money November 1, 2006 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
While there were some interesting quotes, this book will leave most fans feeling somehow cheated since the entire book could be read by any child or adult in one sitting. It's definitely not so much a book that was researched and then written as it is a book composed of a bunch of quotes all randomly thrown together. There are much better books out there on racing so save your money and buy one of them.
An entertaining book May 17, 2006 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
The book's too short, but it's good and has some really funny stuff. Perhaps we can look forward to Volume 2 in the near future.
