Outstanding Book April 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read the two great books by the renowned motivational guru and bestseller, Anthony Robins namely Unlimited Power and Awaken the Giant Within. These books contain profound knowledge which provides you with ideas, beliefs, techniques and strategies that help people all over the world turn their dreams into reality. Giant Steps is a handy and succinct distillation of the wisdom contained in Awaken the Giant Within that provide a quick reference to give you inspiration and motivation to aim for peak performance in all your endeavors.
This is an excellent piece of work that is easily portable that keep my mind energized, help me to maintain my self-confidence, ensure that my big dreams come to reality, and that helps me maintain my emotions and behavior for maximum growth and ensure that I have my financial freedom.
Great Motivator! Helps combat Negative Thinking! March 1, 2005 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I enjoy this - I keep it on my kitchen table & read it with coffee in the mornings. I tend to need a reminder to think positively to enhance my life. This really helps!
get real..... August 21, 2004 5 out of 51 found this review helpful
You know this guy must have more skeletons and dead hookers in his closet than you could shake 2 sticks at. Talk about over compensation. Either that or he really did short circuit somewhere along the way and has allowed himself to become consumed by all this inner-power hooplah. Tony you're some type of new half Richard Simmons - half Robert Tilton cyborg. Preying on the lunatics and the esteem challenged. I wanted to see what he was about so i bought this book. As you may have gathered I wasn't overtly impressed.
Good Refresher Book...but Notes from a Friend good basic June 15, 2004 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Two points (one covers a review...the other covers the guy with a grudge towards Tony Robbins)The book is good for reminding you and keeping you on track if you are one to read stuff but not do it unless you have a check list... have the book in a place you get to every day (chunk it...like with your vitamins or coffee) I found Notes From a Friend better and shorter...it gives you the Top 10 Tools of Robbins Philosophy...each about 5 pages long... and a 10 day mental challenge... easier than digesting the longer books (since 90% of the people don't get past chapter 3 of most self help books) As for the guy with the grudge (he says he isn't bashing...but he has put a review on each and every Tony Robbins book on Amazon stating why Tony is a scammer) he speaks of doing all the Tony Robbins stuff for 8 years... and yet his complaints and reviews show he read it but doesn't appear to have practiced it... plus he talks of coming from love and acceptance... well his reviews don't seem to come across that way...so he may not think he is bashing...but he is. Even Tony says certain things work for certain people...he speaks of what worked for him and what he managed. The self help industry is flush with people looking for the 'magical answer to fix their lives' I myself can say I have not succeeded in many areas due to not taking the time to work with what was in front of me and jumping all around. I have currently stopped that and am sticking with what is in front of me... giving it a good 6 months of work to see if it is for me...then and only then will I move onto something else. Take what works and leave the rest.

I recently purchased Awaken the Giant Within on CD. Now I am listening to Giant Steps on CD. It seems to say the same thing. I liked Awaken the Giant Within, though seems the CD is probably shorter than the actual book, but not sure. I was trying to get something from Robbins that would NOT say the same thing. I guess if you like to hear him talk, I recommend this.
