4 out of 5 stars Excellant Modem/Router   September 6, 2008
The wireless router cable modem is excellent. You do have to call your cable provider and tell them that you are installing a new cable modem and give them your MAC ID number and ask them to syncronize it. They (the ISP) will be able to tell you if they can see the signal or not. I had a little trouble getting it to work with my Vonage phone service though, but after calling Motorola tech support, everything went very smooth. If you are using Vonage VIOP, you basically have to tell the SBG900's firewall to allow the Vonage system to work. Call Motorola tech support. They are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about VIOP issues. Above all, I am very pleased with this router. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it isn't a "N" band router, but even though it isn't, it still works awesome. Great buy!!

5 out of 5 stars Buy this, not the Linksys!   September 5, 2008
We've been using this modem for about 2 weeks now, and it works great! Had a Linksys before and it was HORRIBLE, constantly dropping and often not working at all (even though all the modem lights indicated otherwise). Thought about renting a modem from comcast, but am glad we bought this one. The motorola was easy to install (and I'm no IT genius), just a call to comcast and we were online. Set up on my Dell laptop, but also works fine on the household's Mac. I frequently work from home and VPN into our network, but haven't had any problems.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, Easy To Setup Wireless Cable Modem   September 3, 2008
I am very happy with this product and I would highly recommend it. I purchased this Wireless cable modem to replace an older cable modem and separate linksys wireless router. I love the space savings. It was very easy to install and setup. The only negative comment is that the range is not as quite as good as my linksys router. Maybe I will look into a signal booster for the upstairs.

5 out of 5 stars Good modem and works great!!!!!   September 2, 2008
The product works nicely and as good as the wired Motorola Surfboard.
Is good to see no cables around your computer. The internet works smoothly for the most part of the time.

5 out of 5 stars Couldn't be happier!   August 31, 2008
I love this modem/router! I had a netgear that would lose the wireless connection daily, causing my roommates to call me and complain (since I administer the network at our house). Since I installed this router a month ago, it hasn't lost connectivity once! It's approved by comcast so I turned in the rental and am saving $3/month. Eventually it will pay for itself and keep saving me money! Yay!
