 does not work on a 2000 Toyota Rav 4 July 25, 2008
It says it works on a 2000 Rav4 but it really does not work. The rear wiper prevents a proper fit and the hooks for the bottom two straps only have the rear door plastic molding to attach to (the plastic is just not strong enough). Return the unit and amazon provided a refund that included the return shipping cost which was very nice of the folks at amazon!! so now i will try the bolt on type of rack.

We bought this rack to use on our Honda CRV. It's lightweight and easy to put on and had almost no assembly. It's easy to use but it takes some practice to fit more than one bike on it; this is my first bike rack so I don't know if that's common. We've gone for rides much more now that we have it.
Works Great for my Jeep Liberty July 10, 2008
This product is easy to set up/user friendly, i would recommed this to anyone who needs a bike rack (espically for the JEEP LIBERTY) and is reasonably priced, compaired to similar products.

This bike rack is great! There was no assembly, it came right out of the box. I can get it on and off in less than a minute. Much easier than my "bonz" bike rack I used when I had a car with a spoiler. I bought this one for my 2005 RAV4. The only thing I don't like, is that I have to remove my tire cover off of the spare tire everytime I want to use it. Also, the little rubber thingy that protects the ends keeps coming off. I would recommend this for SUV's with tires on the back. It's much cheaper than having a hitch installed. I was quoted 500.00 to put a hitch on at my local bike shop!!
Very easy to install & works well June 18, 2008
We were able to install the rack within 5 minutes. Very easy. It generally works very well though I've never used any other bike racks before. Only issue is that I could not actually load 3 bikes on the rack because when I reverse the direction on the middle bike, it sticks out way too much. I think this is mainly due to the fact that I use the rack on my Honda CR-V, which has an offset spare tire. So, if you want to use this rack to store 2 bikes, it's very convenient. But with a CR-V, I don't think you can actually load on 3 bikes.
