Great Product July 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used it for the first time last weekend on a Black 2008 Mustang GT. This is a great product. Little or no waterspots. The only area that I saw spots was on the glass and side mirrors. Great finish when used with the ICE wax. Both are very easy to use and apply, even in the SUN. I would highly recommended any ICE products. Technology is wonderful.
No waterspots! June 5, 2008 Tried it for the first time yesterday on a Mustang GT. Very pleasant smelling, reasonably priced, actually does its job and removed all dirt, sap, bugs etc from the car. At the end, it actually dried on its own very quickly (except for windows--it did leave waterspots there--yay "Invisible Glass") without leaving any waterspots. Highly recommended product.
Fantastic Wash May 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After much debate between Meguiar's NXT wash and The Turtle Wax ICE wash, I opted for the ICE wash. I picked it up for about 6.00. The wash is a nice, thick liquid. It pours well, and mixes into a pleasant smelling mixture with a nice thick head of foam. As for its performance, I couldn't be happier. I had not washed the car in quite sometime and it had lots of dust, dirt, tree fallout etc. The ICE wash made quick work out of the mess, and rinsed of easily as well. After some hand drying and some time to sit, it dried to a pleasant shine.
Overall I was extremely happy with the performance, and would recommend this product to anyone.
I followed it up with a nice polishing with the ICE polish liquid, and topped it off with a nice coat of Turtle Wax Platinum Paste Wax. My paint is now mirror-esque.
Good stuff October 21, 2007 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
I wanted to start washing my car for real at home, so I went to Wal Mart and found Turtle Wax ICE Care wash. It was a tough decision, because there were all kinds of washes, Meguiar's (which I've heard good things from), Rain X Wash and Wax 2 in 1 (which I think is like shampoo and conditioner 2 in 1's for your hair), Simple Green Wash (cheapest, almost got this for just $2.98).
I saw this one and it was the most expensive, I paid like $9.57 for this stuff at Wal Mart, however I don't regret it. I picked up some sheepskin mits, shop towels, and F-21 Tire Foam (Also by Turtle Wax, worked extremely well) and went home.
Before I went all the way home, I gassed up the car and took the Civic to the Wal Mart gas station car wash and paid 8 for "The Works", Underbody wash, tire wash, triple soap, tri-foam wax, all this kind of cool sounding stuff, and it took about 5-10 minutes I believe, and the car didn't look all that bad, considering all the mud that was on it from the time it was nearly flooding about 3 days ago, the spoiler still had some tree sap stuff on it, it was relatively shiny, overall I think for $8 it was an alright job.
When I finally got home I started to wash my 2000 Infiniti Q45, first hosing it down for a good while, then I mixed the soap and the water in a bucket (I think I put too much, it said 1 quart per gallon, but I didn't know the conversion off the top of my head so I just eyeballed it, and I think it was too much, but anyways) I started soaping the top with my mitt cleaning most of the crap that drops down from the trees, and then hosed it off alongside the whole car to keep it wet. Then I did the right side of the car, there were 4 weird balls that were really small and I just picked them off and then soaped over to get the remaining yellow gunk off from them (bug eggs maybe?) and then hosed it off alongside the whole car to keep it wet, and so on with the entire car. Then I sprayed the Tire cleaner on all tires, and washed it off, it cleaned well. Sprayed the F21 Tire Foam and washed it, worked well (see that for review) then Wiped dry with the other sheepskin mitt that I got, and then the shop towels to finish the job. Then I cleaned the interior out completely.
The whole process was 2 hours, the external was probably like 40-60 minutes because the interior took alot of time. I spent also about $20 at Wal Mart that day and since I won't buy new mitts from now on until they are very worn out, I'll only spend $16. I think I can last 2-3 Washes, so 2-3 washes at Wal Mart would be $16-24 for the "Works".
So how did this soap really work?
My car was shinier than the Civic... No Wax, just ICE Car wash, sheepskin mitts, F-21 Tire foam, and Bounty Shop Towels. This soap really worked out well and I don't regret spending the $9.57 on it. When I'm done with this jug, I'm gonna get the Simply Green one as well to try it out because thats only $2.75 which you can't really beat.
All in all this soap worked out well, a $16 purchase every now and then to keep my car looking clean is worth it, rather than spending something like $35 to get it hand washed at some place. Not to mention, after the two hours, I felt so happy and I went out next morning just to admire the beautiful job I did.
Get Turtle Wax ICE Car Wash!!!! I know this is a long review but I wanted it to be extensive because I can rarely find one online as extensive as this
Oh and I forgot to mention, its blueberry scented, but its not strong, and besides, its not like anyone is gonna go up and smell the steel of your car so fragrance doesn't really help, it just makes cleaning more pleasant instead of some strong smelling chemical cleaner or Dish Soap which is unrecommended because I've used it before, it smells too strong, and doesn't shine as much as ICE Wash
