Great microfiber cloth July 11, 2008
I bought Mothers and another cheap brand microfiber, they are a huge different.
Pro: I use them after to wipe off detailer spray, Mothers one can grab 2-3X spray more than the other one. Also, the edgeless design makes the spray even on my car. They are incredibly soft, it's hard to tell the feeling. I really recommend you to go to an auto shop and touch them, they are very soft, millions of little fiber lift the cloth from your hand, and you can't feel the fiber too. You'd feel some pressure on your hand, but you can't feel what's that pressure, incredible! Also, they never leaves "cloth dusts" even in my first use. But of course, you should wash it 1-2 times before first use.
Con: If they get dirt mark, it'll be forever. And they are less durable than the other brand. So take care about it. I used pair of them for a year and one of them get a very small hole on it (it get pinched, somehow). But still, they are in great condition.
I recommend it for wiping off spray only. If you want to buff your car after waxing, I recommend using cotton diaper instead of microfiber, 'cos diaper can bring out shininess of your car, and able to buff the wax very evenly.
I got a compact car, and I owned 2 of them. I need to keep switching between them to wipe off all the spray on my car. So if you got a compact, I recommend you to get 3. A convertible, probably 2 is enough.
