Works great... but not on black streaks July 1, 2008
If you want something to clean off dock marks or other marks that came from black rubber, get a Magic Eraser. If you want something to clean off general boat grime and grunge, Meguiar's 70 is your ticket. I have a cabin cruiser and the cover doesn't cover the bow. So I just squirt Meguiar's 70 on it and the black "sludge" it attracts while in the marina garage comes right off with a terry rag. Also works great on vinyl seats. And it's "safe, non-toxic and biodegradable", so the envirofreaks can't yell at you for putting something naughty in the ocean.

I tried cleaning the black streaks from my white haulmark trailer and while it does take off the black streaks, to make it look good you have to rub very hard. It has taken over half of the bottle to clean the front and 1/2 of one side. I probably have 6 hours into it and my arms are sore!
