5 out of 5 stars TurtleWax Color Cure Red Wax   September 5, 2008
I have a red '06 Hyundai Elantra with 63,000 highway miles. The front of the car was beginning to show a lot of chips because of road debris striking the car. Touch up paint just made the finish look worse as I couldn't blend it level with the existing paint on the car. Turtle Wax Color Cure with the red paint stick, on the other hand, filled in the nicks and chips and after an application of the wax my car looks almost new. I've used the green color on a previous car and had the same results, a low cost cover up for a pitted finish. Too bad Turtle Wax now only makes this wax in black and red.

5 out of 5 stars Product that works!   August 26, 2008

This product actually works. Turtle Wax Color Cure-Red does cover those white streaks that may show through when you use conventional wax products over minor scratches on a red-colored car. It will also cover most scratches that go through the clear-coat layer.

We are not talking about producing a concours car show finish here, but for those of us on a budget who are trying to make our vehicles look better this is a good product!!!

5 out of 5 stars easier -- and loads cheaper -- than a paint job!   May 6, 2008

I have a 20+ year old BMW that, one of these days, is going to need a paint job, as the hood especially is showing some early oxidation. Since a good paint job will cost more than I paid for my car it's not in the budget right now, so I gave this stuff a try (previous owner had a bottle in the trunk when she sold it to me). it works great. of course it's not perfect, doesn't last forever, but takes just a few minutes to apply and buff off and when finished, takes years off the look of the paint. I only wish they had more colors than red and black so i could do my other (bronzit) car too.

5 out of 5 stars It works!   August 11, 2007

This stuff actually works pretty well. My car was starting to show a few nicks, door dings etc so I polished the whole thing with this stuff. When my husband came home from work and saw the difference he was amazed. It doesn't make every little scratch completely disappear but the overall appearance of the car was much better. For a few bucks it made a huge difference!

4 out of 5 stars Colored Wax Hides Defects   April 18, 2006

This stuff actually works pretty good at covering up nicks and scratches on your vehicle. There's a colored lipstick-like tube that you can use to blob some wax onto the defect and then you apply the liguid wax itself over the bad area. Then buff like you would normal wax.
I use this after I've already waxed my car with my regular wax (Meguiars) to just hide the chipped areas that are visible. Regular waxes are normally white and they tend to collect in the nicks and make them even more visible. This colored Turtle Wax is much better at hiding the bad areas. Although the Turtle Wax itself isn't in the same league as some of the better carnauba waxes, it's good enough for the touchup areas.
Using Turtle Wax Color Cure is definitely much easier than fooling aroung trying to use touchup paint which never matches and is always a hassle.
