 Works Great, Not too well on small Dents May 31, 2008
This kit works, it took me one pull to fix a dent, however another was more difficult to remove. Actually it is still evident. Overall following the directions will get you great results, but some dents may take several pulls.

First, let me start with a little review. The tool is useful, but after a while, the pads fall apart. The bottom of the pads are actually lined with some sort of coating that may start to peel off, making it useless. Although the solution provided doesn't seem to last long enough, you can use a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water if you run out. The glue is not your standard hot glue, but they give you a generous amount and I have yet to run out.
I've used the Ding King with varying success in the past. One reason is because there is a learning curve. In addition to the directions, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, I'm surprised with the number of people having various difficulties with the glue. As far as making it stick, clean the application area AND the pad with the supplied solution or rubbing alcohol (I would recommend REWAXING the area after the repair is done!). Allow the glue gun to heat completely before use. Apply glue to the pad and IMMEDIATELY place it on the dent, allow to dry for several minutes (very important). If the glue sticks to your car and is a pain to get off, that means you cleaned the metal well.. But removal IS VERY EASY: SOAK a rag sufficiently in the solution (or diluted rubbing alcohol if you run out) so that you maintain a "wet edge" with the rag. No need to soak the whole thing-- Just a spot large enough. Squeeze a little bit out of the rag onto the rop of the glue spot.. Begin to peel it off. Its easy- I've never had a problem with removal.
As far as pulling the dent out too far- If you do get the glue to maintain a good hold and get the wing nut very tight, don't wait for it to pop off. While its still tight, pour a little solution between the pad and the car so that the bond releases. Practice so that you get a feel for the right torque before releasing the bond. You want it tight enough so that the metal is pulled out, but not so much that you pull the metal out too far.
Hope these tips help a little. This little tool is pretty incredible, but it takes patience and practice to find a method that works for you.

Mileage varies based on ding, size, placement and luck May 9, 2008
I used the ding king kit on several dings and dents. It worked on some like magic, and failed miserable on others. I found for small and curved dings it works fairly well. On dings that are sharp, not so much.
I also found that on some dings, it seems to work initially, but the ding re-appears later. This is specially true on dings which have a sharp angle, as opposed to dings or dents which are curved.

I really don't know if the product works, because I'm unable to use it!!
When I received the Item it worked only with 110 Volts, I all european contries we use 220 Volts. When offering, selling and shipping products to Europe, one should expect that the products worked in Europe, but that's not the case.
I tried to get a refund, or to return the item on the merchants expence, but they refused. Then I made a complaint to Amazon, but without any result. I have spent 80$ (price and shipping) on a product that's completely useless to me.
This is certinly not the way to make people love eTrade!!!!

this product works sometimes but other times it doesn't also one time it ripped the paint of my car and it was a fairly new bought from the dealership car. really tiny dents don't always work and the glue is hard to get off and can cause scratches getting off
