Product Description Add some extra horsepower to your fuel-injected engine with one of these K&N Filtercharger Injection Performance Kits. They replace your engine's stock air cleaner or airbox with a low-restriction K&N filter assembly that increases airflow to your engine. And as we all learned in Hot Rod 101, more air means more power--up to 19 more horsepower. Plus, the filters can be covered by up to 1/8 in. of debris before air restriction makes cleaning necessary. The kits include an air filter assembly, a plenum (where applicable), mounting hardware, and instructions.

Adequate. May 10, 2008 I installed this K&N FIPK on a 2004 Mustang GT. The assembly is fairly straight forward. The gasket that goes around the heat shield was somewhat difficult to install and the step-by-step directions were a little backward in places. I'm also not pleased with the way it fit in the vehicle. The IAC line extension really pushes against the oil cap. You practically have to wedge it against it. Aside from that, the install took me about an hour or so.
I noticed maybe a slight difference in power. The sound is excellent. During normal driving, it sounds like stock, but gets fairly loud at high RPMs. Too early to tell if it helps the gas mileage at all. Overall, you can't beat the price Amazon is selling it for.
Teats aren't positioned to clear oil filler cap July 11, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While I fully believe in the K&N filter technology, the two teats on the air intake are too close to the oil filter cap. One hose presses against the cap so much, it's making the oil cap and neck assembly lean over. Also, you'll have to grapple with the thick seal (although it's well constructed). In the end, you "feel" you've got a few more horses...
K&N 57-2519-3 Fuel Injection Performance Kit Gen2 Air Intake Kit April 7, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this product for a 2003 Ford Mustang GT. It took about an hour to assemble and attach. The only issue I had was getting the filter, 2 gaskets, the heat shield, and the maf sensor on together with the screws they gave me. I can tell a difference in the hp and its too early to tell on mpg. I would recommend this product over the other intakes out there because of the warranty and that the product lives up to its guarantee.
