Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Electrical Adapter not all that   August 14, 2008
We just returned from 2 weeks in France. Bought this adapter/Converter before we left to charge a battery for our camera, a cell phone and 2 iPods. The outlet worked in Paris, but the USB port didn't. It made the iPhone's icons jiggle and made a high-pitched whirring sound. Thought this wasn't a good sign, so didn't use that. When we went south, the USB didn't work on the boat we rented, but again the outlet was okay. When we got to Bordeaux, the outlet didn't work, but the USB did. So we were forced to go to a camera center to charge the battery for the camera, but could use the USB port for the iPhone and iPods.

To sum up, better have a contingency plan if this is the only adapter/converter you plan on using.
