Superb product and a great value July 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ignore the whiners regarding reviews of this machine. It is terrific value for the money. Yes, it's made in China (so are SONY broadcast televsion cameras, by the way), but the design and construction are first rate. I bought this before participating in Sea Ray Boat's annual "Aquapalooza" raft-up event at Jones's Beach in Long Island, and it did not disappoint! I blew up 5 water toys, all very large, with no problems. The 12V cord is short for a reason, (safety and high current draw) so I placed the unit near my boat battery (duh!). It comes with a range of inflate adaptors, is fused, has a water resistant cover over the power switch, and the coiled cord is very handy (no, it is not made to stretch 20 feet!) again for safety reasons.
In short, highly recommended, well constructed and designed, but you do have to have some common sense, which is in short supply these days
please help with valve July 19, 2008 I own this, and I just love it! I am a lady, and I find it simple to use, effective, and portable. I have owned it for 2 years now and it worked fine up until I lost the valve a couple months ago. Can anyone who owns the MV-50 go to a hardware store and find an identical match for the valve at the end of the black cord (the end that connects to the tire/ball) and post the specifications for the valve so I can buy the missing part? Thank you.
Great Compressor July 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As compared to cheap air compressors, I wouldn't mind paying more for this item. It is solidly built and very quite compared to other compressors I have tried. It could use a longer power cord though.
pressure dial is to far away withan 8 foot cable July 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is easy to see the pressure dial when you are filling the front tires but filling the back tires you need to run back and forth to see the dial reading. Are you suppose to over inflate the rear tires and then adjust them with a separate gauge. Why didn't they make the power cables longer and the air hose shorter? They could not have screwed up this badly so perhaps I am doing something wrong.
MV50 SuperFlow Compressor July 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
First of all, Amazon was great and I have no problem with them. On the contrary, they make returns very easy and fair. I purchased this item several weeks ago and it was defective. It would not run at all. These things happen, so a returned it for a replacement of the same unit. The second unit was defective as well. Not recommended.
