Works as advertised September 6, 2008 Bought two due to the distance between the two cars and installed easily without referring to the manual. The short duration is a non-issue for me since the sensor is triggered as long as the car moves. The only decision to make is whether to install the guidance system facing the front or back of the garage and exactly where above the vehicle is the optimum placement. Where the system is facing depends on the vehicle type as well. If the short duration is bothersome, install the system facing the back of the garage and determine the placement above the vehicle. Has battery or ac power option. Durability at this time is unknown.
Backup option suggestion August 15, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I think that in case of power failure, you can add a piece of string tied to the ceiling with a wine cork or tennis ball tied to the end. This can not only give you continued functionality in case your power is out (your door opener has backup power too, right?), and depth indication, but will also give precise side to side alignment too. Just pull in and steer so the cork kisses the windshield right in front of you. For that matter, just throw away the cheap laser thingie and just use the string version. Using a high tech electronic device for such a simple task is just stupid.
Works perfect only with one Issue June 29, 2008 As many persons have already given its one drawback that its laser beams are nog wider enough. If your cars are really wider than normal in our garage then this won't work for you.
Besides this only one problem it works perfect and recommended for all.
Just what we needed June 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this installed for over a year with no issues. Works very well. We actually use both lasers to park one car (a minivan) by lining them up at two distances. This helps line the van up early, then gives a dot at which to stop.
Good parking aid, but....... March 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
A good parking aid, but it could use greater sideway adjustment. I would buy it again.
