Works For Me! July 8, 2008 My item arrived well within the specified time, very carefully packaged, and the price was right for me. It's easy to use, carry, and store; I'm a very happy camper!
Works well July 8, 2008 I had relatively low expectations for this product but was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward it was to use. Before purchasing this, I went to Sears and bought a "real" air compressor, oil-lubricated and all. This was way overkill for what I needed (to fill my tires), was messy, and very heavy. To top it off, every time I used it in the garage, it caused the circuit breaker to flip.
The Bon-Aire unit, conversely, is much lighter, more compact, and doesn't require oil. Although it's not perfect (you have to keep your hand on it while it's turned on, or else it starts to move around), it gets the job done well. Interestingly, the last time I filled the tires, the pressure gauge on the compressor read about 5 PSI lower than the handheld gauge I use regularly. I thought, "Well, you can't really expect an accurate reading from the compressor, as that's not what it was designed for." Later turned out that the handheld gauge was wrong, so I tossed it and ended up purchasing another Bon-Aire unit to give to my father.
Burned out on me quick July 4, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Only had it a month. BLew up some pool toys and she just stopped working. Off to the garbage with this one.
Not very sturdy July 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have only used this twice and the second time was for a child's outside pool and after it was blown up there were screws that had come loose I guess due to the vibration and we have no way of getting them back into place. So, after using it twice it is falling apart.
Just what I needed. Very pleased so far June 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the fourth home air compressor I have owned. One of them was a 12 volt type (never again). My last on had a 50 ft. coiled air hose that was stronger then me. With the Bon-Aire, all I need is a friendly 50 ft extension cord to reach all my tires. It seems to have a good valve clamp and it inflates very quickly. As long as it proves to be reliable, I couldn't be more pleased.
