5 out of 5 stars Cable splitter   June 10, 2008
Better than I thought it would be. I've bought so many before that were worthless but this one really works.

5 out of 5 stars Very Efficient Splitter   June 1, 2008
I am using this splitter in conjunction with the Motorola 484095-001-00 Signal Booster I also bought on Amazon. This is a MUCH better approach than using several 2 or 3 way splitters. I tested the outputs on this splitter by attaching my cable modem to several of the different ports and all gave the same signal intensity. This device is a great way to distribute clean signal all over the house. I can also state that it has no problems passing cable modem signals bi-directionally. Great device, currently mounted in my attic (in HOT houston) and giving me zero trouble. Would definately buy again.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing tool!   April 14, 2007
Really works! It fixed our cable signal & we have spliced it up alot for our 4 TV's & 3 computers in 1 home. Another brand splitter couldn't handle it.

1 out of 5 stars Degrades Signal   March 13, 2007
I too had a mess of cables with several splitters in the basement. I decided to fix up my basement and in the process moved the cable line and decided to make it nice and neat with one 8 - way splitter. After I installed the 8 - way splitter I couldn't pick up several cable channels -- mainly HBO. I called the cable company and they sent out a technician. He said the 8 - way splitter degraded the signal. He said HBO uses a different frequency and the 8 - way splitter degraded the signal to the point where I couldn't pick up HBO channels. He removed the 8 - way splitter and installed several smaller splitters (no charge thankfully). Back to square one and everything is fine now except I have an 8 - way splitter I can't use. Highly recommend you call your cable company BEFORE you install one of these!!!

3 out of 5 stars Fine For Cable TV   January 12, 2007
I found that the 8-way works fine to split cable TV services. However I had a loss of signal in splitting to my regular Digital Phone Service, an older Comcast Phone service (not VOIP). There also was a loss connecting to my internet Modem.

I was hoping to consolidate all into this one Splitter, but I had to go back to a four way followed by a two way combination.
