Fantastic little machine!!! June 22, 2008 I ordered this to replace an old inflator that we'd had for years. I was interested in the rechargeable aspect, and having to hook a unit into a cigarette lighter slot was a pain in the neck. After reading the reviews on this, I got it, and tried it yesterday. It blew up the tires in my garden cart in less than one minute! And quiet, too! This is a great machine - everything about it is top notch. Do yourself a favor and get one!!!!!
Excellent! March 6, 2008 This is an excellent compressor, well worth the money. It works great, it's powerful, and each charge lasts a really long time. Five stars defintely!
Does it's job March 1, 2008 Performed just as expected and wanted. Doesn't fill tires nearly as fast as the gas station, but if you count the trip time probably about the same overall elapsed time to fill four tires (assuming they weren't too low to begin with). Gauge might read slightly high - just use a separate gauge.
Delivers as Promised September 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was a little larger and heavier than I had expected but this paid off in its tremendous performance. I use it to keep car tires filled and I enjoy how quickly you can add a few pounds to a tire. My old inflator ran for minutes and would often run out of charge before I finished four tires. I'm not sure I'd carry this on a trip, though, because of its size and weight. The gauge just gives a rough idea of pressure and then you should fine check it with an accurate tire gauge.
High-quality inflator April 6, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Pros: Portable, so you don't need access to an AC plug. Can either use the built-in rechargable battery, or the cigarette lighter (they recommend not running it off of the cigarette lighter, but rather just using the lighter to charge the battery). Quiet and relatively quick for adding some air to a tire. Includes adapters so you could use it to inflate other things as well, such as an air mattress. Feels sturdy and well-built.
Cons: As others have said, you can't use it while it is plugged into the wall. But, if you got it because you want it to be portable, that's not so bad. It's also more pricey than other portable inflators, but it seems well-built and like it will last a long time as well. The internal storage compartment (where they expect you to store the AC adpater, cigarette lighter plugs, and hose) is a little tight -- you'll probably end up having to store something otuside of the unit.
Other thoughts: Good quality inflator if you don't want to be chained to AC wall plugs. Have used it to top off several tires and has worked well on each. Worth the money.
